BRIEF HISTORY
Early 1954 an evangelism group from Kwadaso Bethel Methodist Church led by one Mr. Nuako organized a revival session at Asuoyeboah with the ultimate aim of establishing a Church.
During the altar call, the following offered themselves to the Lord: Stephen Opoku Gyamfi, Moses Twum, Stephen Arthur and Madam Hiah. These became the nucleus of the church.
Nana Kwabena Yinka alias Abraham Nkansah the then ex-Chief of Asuoyeboa, himself a staunch member of the Kwadaso Bethel, offered his patio to serve as a meeting hall. Nana therefore became the first leader of the church with Bro. Moses Boateng aided.
Moses Boateng helped with the training of the converts and prepared them for the first baptism of the Church.
BAPTISM:
On 2nd October, 1964, the first baptism for the converts was administered by the Rev. Bart Addison. They included Madam Janet Manu, Theresa Gyamfi, Agnes Dwumfour, Grace Asantewaa, Grace Manu, Elizabeth Ofori and Christian Oteng.
The Church grew steadily and could not be contained in the patio of the ex-chief. This steady growth necessitated the church to move to a school building at Mangoase near Kofi Sarpong’s Sawmill. In 1966, Mr. Owusu Agyeman was the first caretaker of the Church and a Singing Band was formed with Mr. Kwarteng as the Singing Band Master, with Opoku Gyamfi as his assistant.
In 1969, Mr. Anthony Appiah became the second Caretaker of the Church with Opoku Gyamfi as the Singing Band Master. From 1966, the need for a permanent plot cropped up and the leaders of the church including Nana Abraham Nkansah approached the present Chief Nana Yaw Mensah who gratefully granted their request and allocated the present site free of church to the church.
CHAPEL:
A palm frond shed was erected on the site for worship. Later, a permanent Chapel building was built around the shed, thus given the name “Edan si dan mu” meaning a building within a building.
Bro. Solomon Atta Asare who had joined the church offered his services as a mason for the construction of the chapel with members offering communal labour free of charge. Bro. Moses Boateng who was already a leader in the church offered his services as carpenter to roof the chapel free of charge. Special mention should be made here of some young men who spearheaded the communal spirit and work for the chapel. They were:
- Opoku Gyamfi
- Bernard Ofori
- John Yinkah
- Francis Addai and George Mensah
In 1979, Evangelist Alex Osei Asiedu a Methodist who had taken residence at Asuoyeboa organized crusades, revivals, talks and prayer sessions for the church and in the township. His activities culminated in the establishment of the Youth Fellowship and the training of the youth for work in the church. The chapel building was completed in 1981 with Bro. Solomon Atta Asare as the caretaker.

Solomon Atta Asare, the last of the caretakers established a church choir with Kwabena Otabil alias Kwamena Anderson as its first choir master, a post he has ever held and which has elevated him to the office of Diocesan Deputy Music Director.
Rev. P. A. Brewu an army Chaplain was overseeing the church before the exit of the caretaker. The exit of the last caretaker brought with it the first resident minister in the person of Rev. J. A. Owusu Asamoah. Rev. J. A. Owusu Asamoah, an auxiliary Minister, himself a disciplinarian and administrator laid down the firm administrative structures of the Society and the Section as a whole now a Circuit.
MANSE:
Rev. Asamoah who had the vision that Asuoyeboa could become a Circuit Head left no stone unturned and with the support of the Church, put up a magnificent edifice befitting a Circuit. It is gratifying to note that Asuoyeboa Manse housed the superintendent of the Kwadaso Circuit – Very Rev. J. M Donkor when he was transferred to Kwadaso and Kwadaso Manse was under renovation.
NEW CHAPEL:
Rev. Owusu Asamoah in his vision had the drawings of the new Chapel drawn and approved before he left office as an Auxilliary Minister.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Brew Riverson became the first resident Minister and with his rich experience helped to raise the pillars and the beams of the new chapel during his term of office and also raised the image of the church and the Section- now Circuit.
Very Rev. Emmanuel Kwasi Ansah followed the good steps of his predecessors and has the new chapel raised to its present stage.
